Our family-owned and operated company is currently seeking a Door and Frame Delivery Driver to join our team at our Houston, TX Location! Our delivery team is the lifeline directly to our customers. The Warehouse Associate / Door and Frame Delivery Driver position is expected to work as a valued member of the Warehouse Operations. This position is scheduled Monday -Thursday 7am – 4:30pm and Friday 7am – 3:30pm with occasional overtime required.

Driver Job Responsibilities

  • Operate 24ft automatic Isuzu flatbed trucks for the delivery, pickup, and relocation of door, frame, and hardware products and materials.
  • Perform vehicle operation and maintenance inspections to ensure safety and performance.
  • Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition.
  • Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
  • Assist with preparing orders for delivery or pickup according to daily schedule (load, pack, wrap, pickup)
  • Obtain signatures and records of materials delivered and picked up with contractors to ensure accurate paperwork is on file.
  • Operate and preventatively maintain warehouse equipment.
  • Deliver materials to the jobsite and coordinate with customers onsite for safe and efficient delivery.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor to support and improve the overall branch operation.

Driver Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • 1 or more year(s) of experience as a delivery driver
  • F Endorsement 
  • Must have a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively perform in an advanced, fast-paced environment both individually as well as part of a team.
  • Needs to be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, positive and helpful demeanor.
  • Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
  • Must pass DOT physical, drug, and alcohol screen and successfully complete random screens.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Warehouse Associate Summary/Objective

This position receives, stores and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Essential Functions
  • Assist with shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
  • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
  • File requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
  • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
  • Assist in counting of physical inventory.
  • May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
  • Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
  • Prepare parcels for mailing or shipping.
  • Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orders.
  • Wear the proper safety equipment.
