Himmel’s is a growing organization with locations in New Orleans, Prairieville, Mt Juliet and Houston. We pride ourselves as the door opening experts, not simply a construction material supplier. Our family owned and operated company is currently seeking an Installer to join our team at our Mt Juliet Location!
The Installer position is expected to install and repair doors and hardware on commercial sites. This position will involve travel to various sites around the Houston area.
This position is scheduled Monday -Friday 6am – 3:30pm.
Job Responsibilities
- Measures, marks, and arranges materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors
- Uses various hand and power tools to securely install doors.
- Ensures the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels or framing squares; corrects problems as needed.
- Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to understand directions and read blueprints
- Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
- Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods
- Works well as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience as a door installer or trim carpenter
